The coat is blue!
All credit to the original artist who has given us an approximation of what 13's coat actually looks like.

The Empty Child - NEW COVER!!
I have finally got round to revamping The Empty Child, and I am very pleased with it. Maybe it could have had Rose on the front? Not sure, but I like how it looks, a definite improvement on my original.

Series 1-4 Template
Based on my series one cover I have come up with a template for series 1-4. Some of the text measurement needs work, but you get the idea :)
Series One Cover
Here is my cover for Series One, as I have the complete series one on DVD which has a larger case than normal, I decided to create a custom cover for it. I also decided to tweak the classic series template for the spine of the cover, using the 2005 roundels instead of the 1963 ones, which is something I would like to explore further with other roundel designs in future.

The Empty Child Revisited - Step 1 - The Background.
I'm back again! Here is what I have so far for The Empty Child - just a background, but the Union Flag superimposed on St Paul's inspired me to continue with this cover. I don't want to rush into this like I usually do, so looking for critique and advice on where to go next. I will be looking for pictures of the child, the Doctor, and Jack. Maybe Nancy as well.

The End of the World Revisited
Looking at my series one covers, I was disappointed with my cover for The End of the World, which I feel didn't achieve the effect I wanted it to. So here's my latest attempt at rebooting my old covers:

The Long Game Revisited
Being pleased with my Aliens of London cover, I was inspired to go back and redo another which particularly embarrasses me now -- The Long Game. It took a few tries, and not all the images I wanted to use were available in high quality (I wanted to put one of the skeletons on the cover!), but here is the original, the rejig stage 1 & stage 2 (which is the final design I am sticking with):

Aliens of London Revisited
After a brief drought of inspiration I decided to go back and redo my cover for Aliens of London, just to see how far I've come compared to my original version. I'm not very keen on my series 1 covers, but I must say I'm pleased with what I have been able to achieve here. It is one of my most technically complex covers to date, using 3 supernovas to achieve what I originally tried to achieve with only one.
EDIT: After feedback I have altered the cover, making the characters brighter (they looked murky in print), changing a few things over and spacing things out in general.
I have also produced my first DVD insert:
Love & Monsters
Here is my cover for Love & Monsters. I completed this shortly before starting Aliens of London Mark 2, hopefully some of what I learned from doing that cover will filter through to my next designs.

The Impossible Planet - Second & Third (FINAL) Draft
Here is the second draft, containing Toby Zed, and Ood, and the Doctor (composited from 2 images)
Satan is much redder here than in the tv show, but I like the look of it. The cover will need some adjusting for printing purposes etc, which I shall work on tomorrow, but I am happy for now.

EDIT: After some critical response about the cover being too dark, I had a major overhaul. Here are the results!

The Impossible Planet Stage 2
After a little help from my girlfriend and some rearranging, I am nearly done with my 1st draft of The Impossible Planet. Just need Tennant's mugshot:

The Impossible Planet Cover - Stage 1
After bagging a new laptop I'm back! Here is what I have so far of the next cover, I'm not sure what is needed but I think it needs a certain something (a background, obviously), maybe some Ood?

Children In Need 2013
By wearing my costume into work I raised £140.01 for Children In Need! I even played the recorder during my lunch break :)
And a couple of photoshops for fun:

The Science of Doctor Who!
Just seen an advert for this programme to be aired in a couple of weeks time, featuring Brian Cox and 12th Doctor Peter Capaldi, plus a nifty BBC2 TARDIS logo:
